GMC 2000 Working Briefing

In the March of 2000, Chinese team won the championship in the Global Management Challenge held in Lisbon, Portugal, and the GMC China Organizing Committee won the "Organization Award". The Vice-Minister of the State Economic and Trade Commission warmly received the team members and reported this success to the State Council.

On March 6th, a celebration meeting was held. Mr. Liu Xiangdong, Vice-Minister of the MOFTEC, Mr. Wang Zhongming, General Director of the Training Department of the State Economic and Trade Commission and also the Honorary Chairman of the GMC China Organizing Committee, Mr. Zhou Zhichun, General Director of the China Youth Daily, Mr. Ferreira, General Director of ICEP and also the Commercial & Economic Counselor of the Portuguese Embassy to China, Mr. Cheng Da, Anderson Consulting representative in China, and Mr. Li Jun from the Ministry of Education attended the meeting.

The General Director of the Training Department of the State Economic and Trade Commission sang high praise to the team members and is optimistic about the prospect of the GMC. Mr. Li Jun from the Ministry of Education pointed out that the MBA's teaching focus of this year is to combine the case study with the simulated marketing system and GMC is a good tool to test the teaching of the simulated marketing system.

Before this year's competition, the GMC China Organizing Committee Secretariat plans to conduct training exercises among MBA schools in order to present a more fierce competition. Advisors from MBA schools will be invited to Beijing to get more information, sharpen their analysis skills and enhance their decision-making skills.
